Good morning! *beams* It’s a beautiful day to ship Spuffy.

The idea: Because any Buffy script can be Spuffy if you read between the lines. ;)
Thanks: to the mods for making the whole thing happen; freecat15 for encouraging me; the absent tumblr user alightintheswamp for betaing the “Welcome to the Hellmouth” poem.
Explanations & excuses: The poems are NOT set during the episodes that the words are from. I’ve included text versions and two kinds of clickable image versions, so if you want you can try and read the classic blackout way, or look at where the words came from. I ignore capitalization for the text versions, and I messed with the unused parts of the text a little so that the images wouldn’t be too huge.
Rating Tagging NC-17 in case, for mentions of sex.
Medium: blackout poetry.
Other pairings: not intentionally. I’ve stretched the name “Will” to mean William the Bloody in one line, so if that doesn’t work for you, it’s a Willow/Buffy poem. I hope it does work for you.

Timeline: S4, after ‘A New Man’ but before ‘The I in Team’.
Warnings: sorta mild, beginning-of-a-maybe-relationship infidelity on Buffy’s part; Spike being his manipulative, semi-evil S4 self.
Summary: sequel to Fool Proof (AO3 | EF). Buffy decides she needs help with figuring out the male anatomy as things progress with Riley. Who’s she gonna call? Spike. It’s Spike.
Notes: I set myself a stern limit for this round: 5k and NO MORE. I am as surprised as anyone that I actually made it! Together Again – 1 and 2

And I’m not quite failing miserably, although it might be close… My intended SS entry is five completed chapters in to a probably six or seven chapters. So, I’ll post what I have today (perhaps a couple of chapters now and more when I get to the land of broadband in a few hours) and hope to have those last chapters finished by the next/last free-for-all day. If that doesn’t happen, I’ll just post the link to my journal and website where those last chapters will be found when they’re completed.

To make up for it, I’ll post a link to my current wip, the theme of which really fits the theme this round as well as, if not better than, this one. Operating on the assumption that there are people reading here who may not be reading Spuffy anymore and won’t have seen it. It’s long, so no obligation to read it as a SS entry – just throwing it out there because so many people have contributed more than one, relatively short, unfinished fic. :)

So, here are the Prologue and Chapters One and Two of Together Again It takes place in some non-specific future well after the events of season eight comics and in no way related to them except for a couple of quick references to events there. I don’t think knowledge of that season is necessary as I’ve tried to provide enough information to explain the references without going into the whole plot arcs that led up to them.

Here is the second offering I have for you today! (The first story, “Those Three Little Words”, is posted here.)

May I present the first part of a fluffy fic, set in a happier and Spuffier AU Season 7. The second part of the story will be posted on one of the remaining free-for-all days.

Title: The Anniversary Gift (Chapter 1)
Word count: ~1400
Summary: A first Spuffy anniversary. In this chapter, Buffy attempts to write a poem as an anniversary gift for Spike. Yeeeah. :P
Setting: AU S7 without the dark S6, because it’s my story. :)
Rating: R (so far) for suggestive content.
A/N: Felicia turns her back on angst/drama for fluffy humor! *gasp* (And has Buffy suffer through writer’s block as a surrogate.) :P Context-switching between writing this goofy story and the more somber Those Three Little Words (posted just before this) has been a bipolar experience. Hopefully it turned out OK so far. Beta’d by the effulgent All4Spike.

Hello, my fellow Spuffy readers! I’m so excited to have my posting day here at Seasonal Spuffy Round 20! *does a happy dance* Thanks to the mods and everyone for making this community possible. I *heart* all of you so much! Here’s to another 20, yeah? :P

I have one completed fic (this one) and the first part of a second fic (Chapter 1 of “The Anniversary Gift”) for your diversion and entertainment today. The rest of the second story will be posted on one of the remaining free-for-all days.

Title: Those Three Little Words
Word count: ~3500
Setting: Mid-episode towards the end of “Chosen”; canon-compliant.
Rating: R for violence, etc. consistent with the TV show.
A/N: Not fluffy. (“The Anniversary Gift” is the fluffy one.) But if you’ve watched “Chosen” to the end, well, it’s like that, only… not exactly. ;) I kind of agonized over this story, reeeally not sure how it’ll be received. Little nervous about that. Early draft beta’d by the wondrous All4Spike, before I altered it significantly in the last 48 hours. So, all errors my own, with too many lattes partially to blame.

Raison d’Etre

Hi everyone. First of all, many thanks to the mods for keeping this community going. Secondly, apologies for hardly commenting on any one else’s posts so far. I always find it very difficult to do that when I have my own contribution sort of hanging over me. But as it’s my posting day today, that excuse won’t fly any more, and I hope to catch up with all your entries soon.

Due to various circumstances (some my fault, some not), I ended up with only two days to write this fic, so I’ve fallen back on that old staple, or a variation thereof, the post-apocalypse/final climactic battle story, plus avoided any complications (such as having to think of an actual plot) by dumping my readers in medias res and running for cover. ;)

Setting: post-series and post-apocalypse/final climactic battle

Pairing: Spike/Buffy (obvs) but mention of Spike/Drusilla and Angel/Buffy
Un-beta’ed, so please forgive (and point out so I can amend) any mistakes with my American.

Summary: Brokenness can be beautiful, particularly when you can be broken together.
A/N: WARNING: There is mention of the fearsome foursome (Angelus, Darla, Drusilla, and Spike) as well as references to what they got up to. It’s relatively vague, and I don’t think it would be triggery (far less graphic than the mentions of what they did in the series), but YMMV. If you’re concerned, it’s in Part III, and you can scroll right past if you need to.

Written for the 2016 spring Seasonal Spuffy challenge, A New Era, with a hat-tip to garnigal for the title. For those of you who don’t know, kintsugi is the Japanese art of golden repair: repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, and not something to disguise. For the purposes of this fic, the prior story ended somewhere in the vicinity of “Smashed/Wrecked” and this one picks up right after that one.

Note: If I haven’t already nattered on enough, I am throwing canon out the window here. This is a smaller story than I had intended, but real life got in the way, and it’s not quite as long as I wanted it to be. I hope you all enjoy it anyway. It’s posted on AO3 due to RL getting in the way.
