Can Joyce convince Buffy to forget all that she has been telling her, all that everyone has been telling her, thereby easing Joyce’s own worries before facing the hospital and possible death?

Buffy handed Spike his mug of blood from the microwave, then took a sip of her tea. “My dad wasn’t in Vietnam. I hadn’t really thought much about Veteran’s Day since school.”
“Remembrance Day, we call it.” Spike leaned forward, his elbows on the table. “Didn’t think much of it myself, before the soul. But I was there. Not proud of my actions. Didn’t discriminate. One side tasted the same as the other.
But those boys. Lots of them Dawn’s age. I remember them now.”
“To the troops,” Buffy said, clinking mugs.
“Lest we forget.”
