Summary: Spike misses Buffy.

Part 2

Spike stared out Angel’s apartment windows in the tall building of Wolfram and Hart.

He was still amazed by this specially treated glass that allowed him to watch the setting sun without being burned to a crisp. Spike pressed his hand against the glass and was surprised by the coldness of it. In California it rarely got cold. But this day was colder then it had been in over a hundred years. As the sun went down the air grew colder. They were forecasting snow for the night and Spike knew it would fall. He pulled his hand away from the glass and marveled at the imprint he had left. He lifted his hand, his long finger trailing letters into his mark. His dead heart contracted as her voice filled his mind.

“I love you.”

Spike sighed, oh how he missed her. Her sunshine, her strength. He knew where she was; he knew he could see her. Taking the poofter’s jet would be easy but he was scared. Terrified at what she would do when she saw him.

His hand fell away and he left the room. The word he wrote on the window shined suddenly and then sparkled.

Buffy.
