Author’s Notes: Not AHAU! This instead takes place some time on from the end of the comics Angel: After the Fall #17 and BtVS 8×21 (Harmonic Divergence). It does not rely heavily on comics canon, apart from the idea that now Spike, Buffy, Angel and Harmony are famous! And people have been made aware of vampires, demons and slayers. It should still be accessible, hopefully, even if people haven’t read the comics. Massive thanks to bogwitch and spiralleds for their betas!

Even if you’ve trusted me in the past with vamp!Buffy, if this it not your thing, you’ll want to avoid this. She’s not a true monster (i.e, not Porphyria from Sang et Ivoire—a story that is seven years old this year!), but she is soulless and she does kill.

Also? This story is FANON. If you have a problem with FANON stories, skip this. And if you have a problem with my liberally borrowing lines from episodes and including them in a totally FANON story, well… yeah, skip this. This ain’t the story for you.

Well, it’s my turn to play in enigmatic_blue‘s back yard. I’ve just squeaked in in SOMEBODY’s time zone, because it sure isn’t mine! But I’m delighted to be here and many thanks to the wonderful enigmatic_blue for running this community and for letting us play. Now, my muse has been absent for ages, so this is particularly fitting to the poetry theme and losing your muse. This fic is complete in four chapters, but as I’ve only just finished and sent it to be looked over, I’m posting the first chapter unbeta’d and will correct any problems when the chapter is returned. Sorry – my ability to organise time has completely deserted me lately. Anyhoo, here it is – ALWAYS MY MUSE.
