Not your average couple….
For my posting day for this round, I present two banners with wallpapers, Warm Chanpagne and Leather and Leather, under the cut. Totally worksafe. Here is a bunch of icons made from the two pieces. Feel free to snag any, be inspired to write stories or already have a story they’d suit. Happy to personalise if required.
I’ve written a bit about my process after the images, for anyone interested. My goal here was to create a tribute to the comics using screen caps. So a combination of paint, photorealistic and drawing.
Spuffy zodiac icons
Good to see Seasonal Spuffy in full swing! For my posting day, unsurprisingly, I bring icons. This round’s theme made me think of the Aquarius song from Hair (This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius), so I decided to make icons for each zodiac sign.
Each icon comes in two versions: one with, and one without the zodiac symbol. I suspect most people will prefer the latter, as they’re more multi-purpose (and to be honest, some of the symbols don’t have much added value). There are also a few extras.

And now we have this New Era Spuffy relationship – Buffy and Spike have indeed taken a new path – now we have to see where Joss Whedon, Christos Gage and Dark Horse is taking them. One thing for sure – the Spuffy relationship will always be explored with depth, respect, love and by the outstanding fanfiction writers by each writer’s quest to seek their truths about the Spuffy relationship.

It’s my posting day – had a great time working on new images – the theme was especially appealing to me because the Most Important elements of all the Buffy and Spike journey is the transformations their experiences created for them. It’s my GRAND METAPHOR for our own lives and humanity – that we can all change and make the choice to not let the darkness within us control our lives.

One Last Fiction Banner: for Closure is a Silly Word by Herself_NYC
A personal challenge – can I whip out a fiction poster in a couple of hours? If I start with a rough draft from the Casablanca project I can. I was certain that I had nothing left to give for this round but I was so inspired by herself_nyc‘s “Closure is a Silly Word” tonight that I had to respond. So few Spuffy stories (or really fandom stories in general) take Dawn’s trauma, or the relationship between the two Summers sisters, seriously. I adore the angst, the heartbreak, the love and the stubborn hopefulness. Plus, New York City and especially the Chelsea Hotel is nearly a character in it’s own right.
(And how could I not love a fic that mentions the Dojo, one of my favorite places to eat when I’ve visited the city? Dark, damp, overcrowded, noisy, dirty, cheerful, oddly comforting, long wooden tables shared with strangers, my boots soaking wet from the rain, and bowls of hot, damnably tasty noodles is what I think of when I think of the Dojo.)
