And now we have this New Era Spuffy relationship – Buffy and Spike have indeed taken a new path – now we have to see where Joss Whedon, Christos Gage and Dark Horse is taking them.  One thing for sure – the Spuffy relationship will always be explored with depth, respect, love and by the outstanding fanfiction writers by each writer’s quest to seek their truths about the Spuffy relationship.

Banner – You Were There

It’s my posting day – had a great time working on new images – the theme was especially appealing to me because the Most Important elements of all the Buffy and Spike journey is the transformations their experiences created for them.  It’s my GRAND METAPHOR for our own lives and humanity – that we can all change and make the choice to not let the darkness within us control our lives.

Hope you like them – got bit carried away – but what the heck – It’s Season Spuffy Time.   These are available if anyone is interested in using them as banners for a story

Thanks for adding this additional Free Day – this was another fabulous Seasonal Spuffy.   Have a couple of banners – Hope you like them.

I send my Holiday Season’s Greetings to all the Spuffy Fans – even if we don’t have Peace, Good Will and Respect for All  now on planet Earth – we can always keep up our HOPE that someday this seemingly “Impossible Dream” will become reality.

I’ve managed to keep my Spuffy Hopes and Love ongoing all these years –

My second entry for Free Day is a Holiday Greetings banner.  Hope you have enjoyed the graphics I did this year.  This banner can be used if any of our talented Spuffy writers would like to use it for a story or if they would like to write up a little Christmas Story to go with it.

Anyone who knows me from the discussion at the various forums all these years knows why Spike has become the most important of all characters in the entire Whedonverse to me – Spike is the HOPE and FAITH for the transformation of our world.  He is all the darkness that each human carries inside of them, be it in on the surface or hidden that some don’t even know they are capable of letting out someday.  Spike went from the Good Man who felt lost and rejected and abandoned and who gave in to the temptation to find another way to live but he chose, like so many humans, without understanding what his choice would bring into his life.  He found Power and an escape, but at the price of his Good Man.

Icons

As this is “Thanksgiving USA Day” I want to say again how much I love and appreciate Seasonal Spuffy – thank you to all the moderators that started this wonderful event 10 years ago and to the current mods.  And thank you to all the participants who created all the wonderful stories, artwork and vids that paid tribute to this grand relationship and characters.

This is the first time that I have tried posting several icons – so I hope I get it right.  An especial thanks to Double Dutchess who inspired me to do icons this year.

With “Look Both Ways” idea – I chose to work with the “Something Blue” and magic – I used the classic Midsummer Night’s Dream 1935 production by Max Reinhardt and William Dieterle that was based on the Hollywood Bowl production of 1934.  I love this film and the art design and costumes for the fairies – plus Shakespheare and Mendelssohn – what’s not to love?

I’ve been influenced  by reading some of the darker stories lately plus season six has always been my favorite of all in the Buffyverse – if anyone is interested in having this for their story just let me know.  Excerpt from poetry by Pable Neruda Sonnet 17 which I read in “Between the Shadow and the Soul” series by enigmaticblue.  I love this poet – his work is so fitting for Buffy and Spike.

in secret, between the shadow and the soul.”               Pablo Neruda  Sonnet 17

First – my thanks to all the mods for their efforts to keep Seasonal Spuffy online for all the fans to enjoy – congratulations on this 10th. anniversary.  Another great big Thanks to all the participants for all the wonderful stories and beautiful artwork you have created for the exploration of this GRAND RELATIONSHIP.

My submissions are a bit of the “Look Both Ways” theme –  the darkness and the light that is the Spuffy journey.  Hope you enjoy my efforts – as always, I love working with Buffy and Spike.

Seasonal Spuffy – Graphics Once More With Feeling

And here we are  – Spuffy in the comic books Buffy Season 10 and their “Second Chance” at sharing their lives together in a loving relationship that is based on equality and acceptance of their lives –  both the light/positive and the dark/negative aspects that are part of who Buffy and Spike are.  We shall see if Joss Whedon and Dark Horse will finally place Buffy on this very important new phase of her life – moving on from her earlier love experiences and allowing herself to find happiness with Spike.  As for Spike- he has been loving this woman for so long but he has also made some very important changes for his own life that has taken him away from his “love’s bitch” existence and he knows that he no longer wants to live at the outer edges of her life.  We shall see – but Buffy and Spike have placed “all their Spuffy eggs in the Soul Basket”  and I just hope that this time they will find love together.

Seasonal Spuffy – Graphics

Another study from what I think is one of the best episodes of the entire BS6 – the triad of “Dead Things”  “Older and Far Away” and “As You Were” have always, in my interpretation of the series, been more a reflection of Buffy’s dreamscape nightmare inner demons and her emotional trauma than a statement of Spike’s real world and the premise that Spike is wanting to drag Buffy into the darkness of his world.  I’ve always felt that Spike is primarily reacting to the parameters and rules that Buffy set up from her first kiss in “One More With Feeling” and eventually led to the tragic events of “Seeing Red.”
