“Intervention” Spaiku, Part 2: Invention (2/16)
A/N: #3 is one of two haiku I’ve previously written for “Intervention.”
“Intervention” Spaiku, Part 1: Intervention (1/16)
Here’s my dish for this Spring’s Spuffy potluck: a heapin’ helpin’ of haiku. (Oh, don’t worry about overeating — you’ll be hungry again in an hour!) I’ll be posting throughout the evening until you’re ready to strangle me midnight so as to space out the spammage a little. Many thanks to enigmaticblues for having us all over again and for being such a gracious hostess. You have a lovely home, dear. Also, gratitude of great magnitude to Mister Beta for his invaluable input and for giving me time to write when there seemed to be none. Thanks as well to rebcake for continued encouragement and the always awesome always_jbj for the beautiful banner.
A Spaiku Intervention
by mere_ubu
Genre: Haiku
Syllable count: 1275
Rating: PG-13 for robotic naughtitude
Disclaimer: Spike and Buffy belong to M.E. and never to me. (Um, except in dreams. Then, they’re, like, totally mine. I won’t lie.)
A/N: Here are some Spuffycentric Spaiku caps from BtVS, S5, “Intervention.” Sixteen parts.
Feedback is more refreshing than a margarita on Cinco de Mayo. ::hiccup::
Dedicated with love to mi amigas herself_nyc and philips, just because.
FIC: Joan and Randy vs. the Replicant
Title: Joan and Randy vs. the Replicant
Author: Shadowlass
Summary: Nothing is ever simple when you can’t remember anything about your past.
Rating: PG
Email: shadowlass2000@yahoo.com
Disclaimer: I didn’t create and don’t own any of these characters.
Note: Set after my stories A Very Joan and Randy Christmas and A Joan and Randy Valentine, but can be read independently. Basically, it’s months after the “Tabula Rasa” spell, and the gang still hasn’t regained their memories.
Thanks so much to enigmaticblues for hosting Seasonal Spuffy again. I always look forward to it–thanks for keeping the community going!
Walk Like an Egyptian
Hello, all! enigmaticblues is a rockstar: this we all know. See e.g. this, the best community ever. Even better, even though I blonded out and forgot to sign up this year, she graciously offered to let me share her day. So of course I manage to botch it by setting up my browser-blocking software wrong (it’s finals time in Kaytville), preventing myself from reaching the internets until 2:30 a.m. rather than p.m. :( So here is my story for this season, late, and with apologies.
Title: Walk Like an Egyptian (1/1)
Timeline: Post-Chosen, sort of Season 8 compliant – set several years post-S8
Rating: PG, for a bit of language.
Summary: Three glowing maybe-gods are not so much a one-woman fight. Happily, Buffy has some unexpected backup in vampire form. So what if she hasn’t seen the vampire in question for three years?
Author’s note: This definitely owes a little to frenchani for inspiration…

FIC: Wounded Hearts ~PG-15 (1/9)
As I suspected might happen, I very nearly forgot to post this today. Thanks to framefolly, however, I did not. It just goes to show that seasonal_spuffy is a team sport. This particular story is complete in 9 chapters, and I’ll be getting them up as quick as I can.
Wounded Hearts
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG-15
Disclaimer: These characters aren’t mine. If they were, they really would have received a happy ending, and I wouldn’t be writing fanfiction.
Summary: In the time between sleeping and waking, Buffy dreams of what might have been. Dawn attempts to make the dream a reality.
A/N: Written for the Spring 2009 seasonal_spuffy round. Many thanks to my beta, ayinhara, and to szandara, without whom this wouldn’t have been written.
Fic: The Line Between
Title: The Line Between
Rating: G
Timeline: Season Six, Buffy’s birthday party
Summary: Buffy lets the cat out of the bag about her and Spike to the Scoobies.
A very short little glimpse into what could have happened, had things gone a little differently. Comments are always welcome!
What’s a Happy Ending Anyway?
Title: What’s a Happy Ending Anyway?
Author: Avoidingnemo
Beta: A huge thanks to alfonsina_d for her help brainstorming and beta work on this. Without her, I would still be staring at a blank screen.
Summary: Set in early season 6. Spike’s the only that knows Buffy was in heaven. One night on patrol Buffy stops by his crypt. She doesn’t want to talk about her problems and he’s willing to play along.
Disclaimer: Buffy and characters are owned by Joss Whedon and Mutant Enemy. I’m just playing with them. No money was made from this.
A/N1: A huge thank you to enigmaticblues for all her hard work in hosting another great round.
A/N2: The poem used in this fic is Us Two by A. A. Milne from Now We are Six.

Fic: Letter to Me
My day for seasonal_spuffy!
Unfortunately, I overloaded myself on commitments this month, and didn’t get done nearly the amount of writing I wanted to for this round. (Not to mention that I went and renewed my love affair with a different pairing.) Still, I did manage to finish this, though I completely fail at the poetry. Still, it was inspired by a song… ^^;;
Many thanks to enigmaticblues for hosting another round!
Title: Letter to Me
Author: randi (randi2204)
Rating: PG
Warnings: Angst, mostly. Mention of past character death; see notes below.
Notes: Set mostly post-Chosen, and completely discounting pretty much anything in the comic-verse.
Summary: The letter really was a time capsule, just like it said in the note… It just wasn’t really what Buffy expected.
Disclaimer: It all belongs to Joss and Mutant Enemy, not me. *big sigh*
