COMMONSENSE:

Buffy sat looking at the piles of bills on the table. It was amazing how much four people could eat in a week. Just as amazing was how much washing powder and softener they could use. Did sheets have to be changed every day?

Last night when she came back exhausted from patrol, every light in the house had been blazing, the TV was on, the drier was working in the basement, empty pizza boxes and ice cream cartons were on the table and Willow, Tara and Dawn were all asleep.

“Will,” she said suddenly and her friend looked up from where she was whispering in Tara’s. “We need to work out how much you and Tara are going to pay me in rent.”

I started this piece a long time ago, long before Learning To Fly took over my life and all my time… when itmustbetuesday  announced the fairytale challenge for the comm, I thought about posting it, but never did, because of fear, down and dirty fear… but fear is the mind-killer, the little death that brings total obliteration… (geek here–that’s from Dune)… so I’m posting this on free-for-all day, incomplete with the rest to be posted on my journal–I hope that you enjoy it…. as much as I’ve enjoyed all the wonderful fics, artwork, and icons that have been posted here…

Summary: Post-“Not Fade Away.” Set vaguely in the future of my own universe of stories, although nothing needs to be known about them to read this, except that Buffy and Spike are together now, a pair of traveling demon hunters, trying to be a couple, yadda yadda.
