Alright, I come only bearing one wallpaper, as I was working on an X-Files/Spuffy crossover story (you heard me), for my best friend, that I was also hoping to share, but time and tides came between us, and I only got a few pages in. Neither Buffy nor Spike had even gotten to make an appearance yet, otherwise I’d post it as a WIP. : / Maybe next time.

Even Champions Need a Home – 1
Title: Even Champions Need a Home

Disclaimer: It didn’t happen this way, because the man who owns these characters didn’t write it. But he said I could. :)
Summary: It’s the summer before Season VII; Buffy is led to Spike and told he is a champion that she must take care of until it’s time for him. She’s dubious at first, but very glad to see him again. Important conversations are had, as they should have been, long before he goes up like a candle.
AN: Although, this was written for Seasonal Spuffy, I started it based on a banner that I liked at a “fic for banner” community – may have been WriterCon UK, I don’t remember. Anyway, it turned out that someone else had already chosen that banner and I didn’t want to share (lol), so I chose another one and tucked this idea away. But I wanted to tell the story, so I brought it out and tried to bend it so as to at least approach the “Humor” “Hope” themes of this round. It’s not laugh-out-loud funny, and since we all know the ultimate ending, can’t really be hopeful in the long-term; but at this little point in their relationship…
This gorgeous banner, as was the original one, is from my wonderful beta, Always_jbj, who is multi-talented. Aren’t I lucky?

My First Post – Manip
So, it’s finally here – the day I’ve been looking forward to with both excitement and utter horror. I’ve admired this community and the artists and the writers that post here from the days I hadn’t even considered trying to create something myself. And now I’m here, posting my stuff among the people I’ve always looked up to and it’s just whoa, crazy! Not to mention scary. Plus there’s some serious butterfly migration going on in my tummy. But that’s just me – I’m a hopeless case when it comes to situations like this.
Anyway. I really wanted to come up with something worth the occasion. I had it all planned out how I’m going to start early and take my time and what not. I was so pleased with myself being so well organized and all until I got to the actual doing part of the task in question and how about it – my internet connection went down. And it stayed down until the day before yesterday. I couldn’t get to my resources. I couldn’t do anything but panic. And so these posts are not going to be as I’d planned, but come hell or high water here they are…
