Title: Sunrise manips
Setting: The first screencap is, I believe, of Spike right before he says, “So you’ll give me what I want. Make me what I was. So Buffy can get what she deserves.” But I think it looks similar to Spike in the final scene of “Intervention” too, and upon reflection I don’t mind. The second screencap is of Buffy as she’s about to say, “What you did, for me, and Dawn … that was real.”
Notes: I don’t know about you guys, but over here it’s half past eight in the morning as I type this, and daylight is just starting to dawn in this gray, urban light-polluted murk. Sun’s not going to rise for another half hour, and then it’s due to stay till *winces* 15:37. (Now that I’ve finished the post and copied it over to LiveJournal, we have 15 minutes left till sunrise, and it’s visibly getting lighter, and some birds are flying around and it’s very exciting!) When I heard my alarm at seven, the general concept of being woken up shocked and offended me and I snoozed it for an hour. But right now, I’m persuaded that there’s some merit in being awake, and I know we will get a little more sunlight tomorrow, and a little more the day after that, and I’ve always had big feelings about sunrises and about solstices, so even though I hadn’t planned to make anything for this free-for-all, I spent most of yesterday in a flow state browsing Flickr for photos of winter solstice sunrises and playing with the hard-light blending mode in Pixlr E.
Maybe I should technically call these wallpapers, but I’m not sure how big a wallpaper should be. The full versions of them are as big as the screencaps were.
