Notes: This is a sequel to Sweet Lethe, a short story I wrote just after Chosen aired. At the time, I called it my Silly!Sappy!Amnesiac!Shanshued!Spike tale, and that still strikes me as a pretty good summary. I started writing the follow-up then, but never finished, although I kept adding bits from time to time. I suppose the delay makes sense, because the story picks up years later, when Buffy goes to visit Willow and Spike. She hasn’t seen him since the events in Sweet Lethe, and he still has no memory of his past and no idea he was once a vampire.

Notes: Because I’m a creature of habit, this is set in the same silly ‘verse as Cubed and What’s in a Name, my previous stories. It can be read as a standalone, especially as none of the characters seem to have learned much from what happened in the other two fics. In this very AU version of S6, everyone gets along, at least until someone gets a really nifty notion. This is clocking in at around 23,000 words before the final edits. That’s much longer than I’d planned, but these things happen.

What’s in a Name – 1

When I signed up for this round, I had an idea for this comm that I abandoned (temporarily) because I was intrigued by the theme of fairy tales. “The Beauty and the Beast” came to mind first, but I know that’s been done already. In fact, after a moment I remembered I’d done it myself! I’ve been busy with work and haven’t read all the posts this round, so I don’t know if anyone else settled on the same tale I did.

What’s in a Name?

Notes: This is set in a fluffy, silly Season Six similar to the one from my last seasonal_spuffy fic, although no familiarity with the previous fic is needed to understand this one. Everyone is sort of happy and sort of gets along, with enough exceptions to the general cheer and goodwill to keep things interesting. The main difference from the last story is that Buffy has admitted her relationship with Spike to her friends, but not to her innocent little sister.

Here is the end of a story that I started during the hiatus between Season 6 and 7 when I wondered what it would be like to have Buffy or Spike as a direct report and remarked to a friend that at least I didn’t have to deal with that at work. Her response was something along the lines of, “Write that,” and we tossed ideas around for a while. I’m very glad I blew the dust off this and finished it, because it was a lot of fun.
