Wicked – 1/3
Author’s Note: Yay! It’s my posting day!
This story is different—albeit not by a huge stretch—from other stories I’ve written. If you have a problem with vamp!Buffy, please do not proceed. Even if you’ve trusted me in the past with vamp!Buffy, if this it not your thing, you’ll want to avoid this. She’s not a true monster (i.e, not Porphyria from Sang et Ivoire—a story that is seven years old this year!), but she is soulless and she does kill.
Also? This story is FANON. If you have a problem with FANON stories, skip this. And if you have a problem with my liberally borrowing lines from episodes and including them in a totally FANON story, well… yeah, skip this. This ain’t the story for you.
My EXTREME thanks to my betas for all the help you provided on this story: dusty273, spikeslovebite, dampersnspoons, enigmaticblues, therealmccoy1, just_sue, effulgent_girl, angelic_amy, ghostgirl13, and coquinespike.
This round has been great so far. Thanks to the wonderful enigmaticblues for all her hard work, and all the contributors of the excellent work and art we’ve enjoyed. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Fire Back
Another poem, this time with a bit more angsty substance.
Spike: Great love is wild and passionate and dangerous. It burns and consumes.
Buffy: Until there’s nothing left. Love like that doesn’t last.
– Seeing Red
A little poem to get started…
It’s my day! Finally!
First a very well-deserved thank you to enigmaticblues for organizing this event. This is my first time posting here and I’m excited to participate. Ye gods, it felt like forever waiting for the opportunity to share some of these pieces. It was incredibly hard (TWSS = That’s what Spike said) as my first reaction is to post them right away. *is feedback whore*
Without further ado, for my opening act I present this little Spuffy poem in the style reminiscent of kindergarteners the world over!
Ficlet: Four Sonnets
This is my second and final offering for the day. My first fic, Elegy, was more than a little depressing, so I thought I’d try writing something else; something where Buffy and Spike actually get to interact with each other.
Many thanks to enigmaticblues for all her hard work in organizing this round. Until two days ago, I hadn’t completed a new Spuffy fic in about five years. So many, many thanks. ^_^
Title: Four Sonnets
Summary: Spike and Buffy confront their issues through a selection of Shakespeare sonnets. Post “Storyteller”
Rated: G
Author’s Notes: The sonnets used are 65, 129, 145 and 35, respectively. Continue Reading
Ficlet: Elegy
Title: Elegy
Summary: On a quiet, moonlit night, Spike and the Scoobies bury their beloved Slayer. Post “The Gift” Rated: G
Author’s Notes: Although the Scoobies are involved here, this is really a fic about Spike’s feelings for Buffy and how he copes with laying her to rest. The poetry is excerpted from “The Daydream” by Tennyson, published in 1842. If anyone knows their Victorian poetry, it’s Spike.
Disclaimer: Nope. I don’t own Buffy, Spike, or any of the other characters in this story. Everything belongs to Joss, Mutant Enemy, and whoever else has a legal right to it. Continue Reading
Ficlet: Bloody Poetic
Title: Bloody Poetic
Genre: Fiction – Spuffy (duh!)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 3,066
A/N: There is some mention of previous relationships, but nothing squicky. Takes place post tv series with allusions to events happening in the comics. :D
Fic: Ars Poetica (6/6)
I juuust finished this, so my apologies for any typos I might have missed, though I don’t think there should be many. I hope you enjoyed my offering!
Title: Ars Poetica
Medium: Fiction
Author: Lirazel (penny_lane_42)
Timeline: “Becoming Part II” – post-“Not Fade Away.” Canon all through BtVS; ignores the comics and “The Girl in Question.”
Rating: R
Installment: Part six of six.
Disclaimer: The world and characters of the Buffyverse do not belong to me. Neither do any of the poems.
Poetry: The poems featured in this chapter are “Elegy XX: To His Mistress Going to Bed” by John Donne (my favorite poet), a few lines of “may i feel said he” by e.e. cummings (you should look up the rest of it; it’s pretty fun), and “Fate slew Him but He did not drop” by Emily Dickinson.
A/N: This first section is the closest I’ve ever really come to writing a sex scene. It’s still not terribly explicit, but I pushed myself further than I’ve gone before. I’m kind of nervous, so let me know what you think.
Summary: The story of her life with Spike, Buffy realizes, is written in poetry, not prose.

Poetry: The poems featured in this chapter are “The Kill” by Carl Phillips and Sonnet XXXIX by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
A/N: The poetry book I mention in the first section is Helen Vendler’s Poems Poets Poetry. Most books about poetry either suck all of the joy and beauty out of the whole experience or don’t actually tell you anything useful. This is by far the best book of its kind I’ve ever seen, and I heartily recommend it for anyone who wants to further their own poetic education. Vendler, a Harvard professor, released the book in 1997, so I don’t feel like it’s a stretch that Buffy might have used it in her poetry class in college; it’s one of the most revered text for such classes.
Summary: The story of her life with Spike, Buffy realizes, is written in poetry, not prose.

Title: Songs From The Cellar
Author: Pfeifferpack
Medium: Fiction
Rating: G
Summary: Spike has more than a bit of time on his hands there in Buffy’s basement and more poetry in his newly restored soul than poor William ever imagined. Idle minds lead to musings and idle hands can lead to bad poetry.
Setting: S7 Begins between Storyteller and Lies my Parents Told Me
A/N: The conclusions drawn by Spike in this short tale belong solely to him and his tortured soul and are not necessarily shared in whole with the author.
Sonnets are Italian rhyming scheme (ABBA ABBA CDE CDE) a la Barrett-Browning(with far less talent).
